How do i care for my leather product

∙∙≫ Now that you have received your lovely Ocea design hand bag or wallet, you will want to make sure you protect it.

Natural leather absorbs the oils from your skin and through aging assumes a clasic aging look. As a general rule the less you do to clean your leather or suede the better. However, heres a few tips;

• Wipe with a soft damp cloth {make sure it is damp not wet}.
• Use a specialised leather bag cleaner for stubborn marks or dirt, but be aware that this can discolour your leather.
• Allow water drops dry naturally, DO NOT attempt to place the product near a heat source to speed up the drying process.
• It is worth protecting your leather with one of the many leather protection products on the market. Just remember to test it on a small part of the bag first as it may discolor the leather.
• Ink stains penetrate the leather and wont come out.
• Be aware that unwashed or dark denim may rub off onto the lighter coloured leather if the leather is not protected.
• Store it in a dry, cool, well ventilated place away from high tempertures in a breathable bag. Avoid plasic bags which prevent air circulation and aviod moth balls.
• When not in use, store your leather bag in its specially made dust bag.
• Since leather is porous, it loses moisture through evaporation. Use a leather conditioner once in a while to keep your bag super soft, protected and looking its best. Wipe excess product and allow the bag to air dry completely before storing it
• Do not expose it to direct heat or sunlight for extended periods.
