Frequently Asked Questions

Orders & Shipping

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 2–3 business days.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details. During peak periods or promotions, dispatch times may be slightly extended.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Ocea Design currently ships to Australia and the United States. US orders are sent via Australia Post, with express options available where applicable. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Duties and taxes are covered by Ocea Design, so there should be no additional import charges for you to pay on delivery.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your Australia Post tracking link.

Tracking updates will be available as soon as your parcel is scanned by the courier.

Can I update my delivery address?

If you need to update your delivery address, please contact us at hello@oceadesign.com.au as soon as possible after placing your order.

Once an order has been dispatched, we are unable to make changes to the delivery address.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, unworn and returned in their original condition and packaging. For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return postage. If your item is faulty or damaged, please contact us at hello@oceadesign.com.au and we’ll assist you in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

How do I request a return or exchange?

Contact us at hello@oceadesign.com.au within 30 days of delivery with your order number and reason for the return or exchange. We’ll provide you with the return instructions. Please do not send items back before contacting us.

Do I need to pay for return shipping?

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return postage. If your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us at hello@oceadesign.com.au and we’ll arrange the appropriate return solution in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Are your products made from genuine leather?

Yes, all of our pieces are made from genuine leather. Because it’s real leather, each item has its own natural texture and character, making every piece one of a kind.

Why does my leather look slightly different from the photos?

Because it’s real leather, each piece has natural variations in colour, texture, and finish. These slight differences are completely normal and part of what makes your piece unique.

Yes. Ocea Design offers a 12-month warranty on hardware and zips for manufacturing faults. This does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or natural variations in the leather. If you experience an issue, please contact us at hello@oceadesign.com.au with your order number and photos, and we’ll be happy to assist.

How do I care for my leather wallet or bag?

Keep your leather piece away from excessive water and direct heat, and store it in a cool, dry place. If needed, you can use a leather conditioner to keep it soft and looking its best over time.

Who is behind Ocea Design?

Hi, I’m Kel, the founder and creative behind Ocea Design.

I’m a mum of three boys, and after spending so many years raising them and putting so much of myself into family life, I wanted to create something of my own too.

Ocea Design grew from my love of beautiful leather, practical design and pieces that feel a little different from everything else out there. I wanted to create wallets and bags that are not only beautiful, but genuinely useful for everyday life.

Each piece is handcrafted from genuine leather and designed to age beautifully, becoming more unique with time.

Ocea Design has become something I’m incredibly proud of, and I love that my boys get to see me building something from the ground up.

Where are your products made?

Our products are made in Indonesia, in partnership with a small, family-run workshop known for its craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Each piece is thoughtfully produced using ethically sourced materials, with a focus on quality, longevity, and responsible production.
